Vision Recycling successfully provides very similar “turn Key” services to the county of Santa Cruz at the Ben Lomond site and the Buena Vista Facilities. Vision Staff actually receive the material at those facilities and direct the feed stock into distinct piles to develop a wide variety of commodities from the waste stream. We are proud to offer 8 different products to meet the variety of needs within the community. We market the materials locally both at the facility and into the community to offer this recycled product back into the eco system from which it came. These are very successful programs we have successfully managed on behalf of Santa Cruz County managed for over 10 years. In 1996 Vision Recycling helped the county develop this recycling program such that the program developers could be proud of their local diversion results.

Our Vision and market niche is to develop green waste recycling programs to convert the local feedstock into organic products to be used within the local soils from which they came. The program understandably has inherent advantages to haul the material out of the area. We find the short term cost effective approach is not a vehicle toward building a true program to return the organics to the local soils. The focus of our approach is not to move the green material out to the agricultural areas for large farm application, but to use as much as possible for the suburban Gardeners and Landscape communities who actually bring the materials.
